Introduction

Each Rose Fellow has a three-year work plan, with the majority of the time spent on the design, development, financing and construction of green, affordable housing units in the communities in which they live and work.

In addition, fellows contribute broadly to the well-being of their communities through community design projects of all scales. These range from the design of cultural centers and community gardens to broad scale planning and policy initiatives.

The fellows also contribute to the research in the fields of affordable housing and community development, providing models and prototypes of high quality, innovative design and development work through their built work and publications.
