The Affordable Housing Design Leadership Institute engages leaders on the front line of affordable housing in a two-and-one-half day structured forum focused on innovative affordable housing design and development best-practices. A Design Resource Team, comprised of eight leading design innovators, will work with a Development Team, comprised of eight nonprofit housing developers. Together, the two teams will join forces to solve challenges presented by affordable housing projects, ultimately helping community development leaders to implement best practices in sustainable community design, transit-oriented development, and green architectural design.

Taking place from July 21 - 23, 2010 at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, the Institute is made possible by support from the McKnight Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Kendeda Fund. The Institute is a program of Enterprise Community Partners and will be moderated by Katie Swenson, Senior Director of Enterprise's Rose Architectural Fellowship program.
